IPTV Smarters Pro: step-by-step installation and setup

IPTV Smarters Pro is one of the most widely used IPTV player apps in the world. It doesn't provide any channels: it's a "player" where you add the login details from your IPTV subscription. Here's how to install and set it up step by step.

Which devices can run IPTV Smarters Pro?

• Android TV, Google TV, Android boxes and phones: from the Google Play Store.
• Amazon Fire TV Stick: via the Downloader app, using the link from our support.
• iPhone, iPad and Apple TV: the IPTV Smarters Player Lite version is on the App Store.
• Samsung and LG: depending on the model, it's in the TV's app store.
• Windows and Mac: a desktop version is available from the developer's website.

Set up IPTV Smarters Pro with Xtream Codes (recommended)

1. Open the app and accept the terms.
2. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
3. Fill in Any name (anything you like, e.g. "IPTV Suisse Abo"), Username, Password and URL, exactly as received after your order.
4. Tap Add user. The app downloads the channels, VOD and TV guide.
5. Open Live TV and pick a category: you're watching.

Set up with an M3U playlist

Choose Load Your Playlist or File/URL, select M3U URL, paste the link and confirm. For the TV guide, add the EPG URL under Settings › EPG. More in our M3U playlist guide.

Recommended settings for a smooth picture

• Settings › Player Selection: try the Native player if the picture stutters with the default one.
• Settings › Automation: turn on automatic channel and EPG updates.
• Use Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, especially for 4K.

IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate?

IPTV Smarters Pro is free, cross-platform and very simple. TiviMate, available only on Android TV and Fire TV, feels more like traditional TV and offers advanced recording in its premium version. Both work perfectly with a IPTV Suisse Abo subscription.
